CALL FOR ABSTRACT – GPRCFMY 2025

GENERAL CONDITION

These guidelines apply to all abstract submitter for the Global Public Relations Conference and Festival Malaysia 2025.

GPRCFMY 2025 is a forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in public relations and communications. This prestigious event is organised to provide an international platform for practitioners, academicians, researchers and students to share their research findings with global experts.

To expedite both the submission process and subsequent follow-up, please adhere to the guidelines and deadlines outlined mentioned.

Please carefully review the abstract submission guidelines before you submit your abstract(s).

A. Deadline For Uploading Abstracts

  1. All submitters should upload their completed abstracts (not the actual poster or a PowerPoint file) via the abstract submission system by 15th August 2025
  2. Abstract submission via email will not be accepted.
  3. Submission should be in .txt file (PowerPoint, PDF and Word will not be accepted).
  4. Abstracts must be submitted in English.

B. Presenting Author and Registration

  1. The presenting author must register as a participant for the full conference at the latest 5th September 2025.
  2. The scientific committee reserves the right to exclude any abstract from the scientific programme that is not followed by participant registration.
  3. Please note that exhibitor registrations are not valid for presenting authors.
  4. Presentation Preference: Participants may select the option for oral or poster presentation. However, the Scientific Programme Committee reserves the right to re-categorise any accepted abstract.

C. Contents of your abstract

  1. The maximum word count for an abstract is 300, excluding the title, authors, and affiliations. The scientific committee reserves the right to edit abstracts that exceed the word limit.
  2. Abstracts that exceed the word limit, authors, or affiliations may be edited by the scientific committee at their discretion.
  3. Write the title of the abstract in CAPITAL LETTERS and keep it as brief as possible.
  4. Do not write any identifying features such as names of authors, company, university, or cities in the title or abstract text. A “blind” review process will be used.
  5. The abstract must include the following:
    Aim: Clearly state the purpose of the abstract.
    Methods: Describe your selection of observations or experimental subjects clearly.
    Results: Present your results in a logical sequence in text, table, and illustrations.
    Conclusions: Emphasize new and important aspects of the study (perhaps as a discussion section) and the conclusions that are drawn from them.
  6. Use of brand names: Generic names must be used for any product or company references. At the bottom of the abstract page, the brand name can be added as a reference.
  7. Papers containing brand names/company names in the abstract text (i.e. not in a reference at the bottom of the page) may be rejected for this reason only. The committee reserves the right to replace any brand name with a generic name without further notice.

Abstract submission categories :

  • Poster Oral Presentation slot – 5 minutes (3 minutes of presentation, 2 minutes of Q&A) 
  • Only the selected abstract for a poster presentation will be allocated a Poster Oral Presentation slot. 
  • You will be required to print your poster.
  • Size: A0, portrait orientation 
  • The presentation must be presented in the clear and concise English language. 
  • Presenter are required to present your Poster to the judges and audience during the Poster RapidFire session.  
  • You are advised to adhere strictly to the time allocated. 

Oral Presentation Guidelines :

  • Oral presentation slot – 10 minutes (8 minutes of presentation, 2 minutes of Q & A)  
  • Format: 16:9 PowerPoint slide (ppt or pptx file), other formats such as Keynote and Canva arenot compatible.  
  • Layout: Landscape (1920 x 1080px)  
  • Font size:  Font size ranging from 26 to 32 (based on Arial font) for text.   
  • Font type: Avoid using special fonts or characters that are not included in the standard PowerPoint package, as this may lead to issues during file upload. You are advised to adhere strictly to the time allocated to avoid upsetting the scientific programme. 
  • The presentation must be presented in a clear and concise English language.   
  • Any abbreviations should be defined where first mentioned. 
  • You are advised to adhere strictly to the time allocated. 

D. Reviewing

  1. The Scientific Committee will review the abstract and email the results.
  2. Please verify that your email address (submitter and presenting author) is correct as it will be used for contacting you.
  3. The Scientific Committee reserves the right not to give detailed information as to why an abstract is rejected.
  4. Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be sent to the submitter in September 2025.
  5. It is the responsibility of all submitters to ensure that all research is conducted in accordance with local, state, federal, and international laws as well as ethical standards pertaining to both people and animals. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject any submitted abstract that is believed to violate these principles.

E. Result

An email will be sent in September 2025 to those abstracts accepted by the scientific committee and guidelines on preparing your presentation.

F. Confirmation

All presenters must register for the conference no later than the 5th September 2025 . Any presenter not registered by this date is subject to removal from the program. Presenters can register at (Registration link).
